# Lifter — Platform

How Lifter runs your team's AI in one place. The specialists, the tools,
the controls, the deployments — written in plain English.

## 01 — The spectrum of agent capability
AI agents sit on a spectrum:
- Workflow agents (Zapier, n8n, Make) are cheap and reliable for known
flows but rigid and break on edge cases.
- Personal assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) are universal and
conversational but per-person, with no continuity or governance.
- Operator agents — where Lifter sits — are general-purpose, with
persistent memory, organisationally embedded, with the controls a real
  company needs.

## 02 — One platform for every AI capability
Connectors, skills, memory, agents, approvals, audit, all in one place.
Set up once. Distribute across the org. Govern centrally. Every skill
written, every connector configured, every lesson learned accrues to the
company — not a single inbox.

## 03 — The specialists
Each specialist is three editable parts:
- Handbook: how it thinks about the work, in plain text.
- Tools: an allow-list of connectors, each with an Allow/Ask/Deny stance.
- Memory: what it remembers. Versioned, auditable, yours.

## 04 — Connectors
100+ live integrations. Native packages for the tools we hand-tune to
retail (Shopify, Klaviyo, Gorgias, Cin7, Dotapparel). The MCP ecosystem
for the rest.

## 05 — Workflows: co-owning the board
Customer-defined workflows. Customer-defined columns. Typed transitions.
Agents and humans share the same Kanban-style board: Triage, Verify,
Approve, Resolve.

## 06 — Dashboards your agent composes
Ask the agent what matters today. It composes a dashboard from the tools
and data it has access to. Persistent, shareable, updated on a schedule.

## 07 — Memory
Memory belongs to your business, not the model. Plain text your team can
audit and edit. Survives model swaps.

## 08 — Permissions and approvals
Three states per tool: Allow, Ask, Deny. Risky actions pause in the
channel your team already uses for a human to decide.

## 09 — Where it runs
The Gateway runs without the Hub. Pick:
- Our cloud (default): hosted in Sydney, managed and monitored by Lifter.
- Your cloud: runs entirely inside your AWS, GCP, or Azure account.
- Hybrid: admin UI in our cloud, runtime in yours.

## 10 — Your company's AI operations centre (white-label)
The Hub is fully white-label. Your brand, colours, typography, custom
domain. To your team it feels like a tool your company built.

## 11 — Extensibility
No lock-in to a model, or an agent. Today we ship our own operational
agent. The platform is designed so other AI agents (Claude, Codex,
Copilot, future ones, your own internal agent) can plug into the same
controls without rebuilding anything. The model changes; the guarantees
don't.
